Win a Sony FS7 II in This European Competition!
Sony Europe has launched a video competition to win a Sony FS7 II. Interested? Read on for all the details.
With their “Just One Minute” video competition, Sony is giving European filmmakers the chance to win a brand spanking new Sony FS7 II – including the Sony 18-110mm f/4 kit lens! As the title implies, entries are limited to 1 minute and must fall under the genre of documentary, which doesn’t come as a surprise given that Sony is marketing the FS7 II as “the ideal 4K camcorder for documentary-makers.”
Need a little boost to get those creative juices flowing? Check out our hands-on experience with the Sony FS7 II at the product launch back in November. At last year’s IBC, we also reported about the new Sony 18-110mm F/4, a lens whose focal length and features make it an ideal companion kit lens for the FS7 II.
Renowned filmmaker and blogger Philip Bloom will be deciding the lucky winner. If you’re looking for a few pointers as to what kind of stuff to shoot, here are a couple of tips from the man himself about how to catch his attention (you can read Philip’s full blog post here):
(You need) something that is more than just a montage, I need a story as this is a mini documentary after all!
You will also need to do more than just make a great short, you will need to do some good marketing and get people to see your film, as the number of likes is key to getting onto shortlist. Marketing, after all, is key to being a successful filmmaker.”
In addition to the main price, Sony is also giving away a Sony a7S II to the runner up. Nice!
To enter the competition, make sure you fill in this application form, upload your entry to YouTube and follow the instructions included in your entry pack by March 12th 2017. Also, as stipulated in the terms & conditions, this competition is only open to residents of certain European countries.
… As well as a compilation of the various regional winners.
