DESCRIPTION

To start off 2016 right we travelled to the Philippines for 3 weeks touring the islands. We visited Manila, Batangas City, Palawan and Cebu. Our favourite place by far was Palawan and more specifically El Nido. Its such an amazing place.

Filmed on a Panasonic GH4 using the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 and DJI Phantom 2 with a GoPro Hero 4. Edited in Adobe Premiere and graded in After Effects using VisionColors Impulz LUTs.

Just came back from Hong Kong and El Nido. Could not agree more. That place is magical.

Love the video, really captured the sense of adventure.

How was it traveling with that much video gear?

Next time we are going back to Cebu to swim with the whale sharks!

Thanks so much! I only had 2 backpacks basically. One for my Gh4 and lenses and the other for the drone. My wife helped carry one backpack so it worked out nice. Yea the whale sharks are cool but be prepared for tonsss of tourists!

Nice filming! I love it! I grew up in the Philippines but have never been to El Nido myself..shame! The 18-35mm is a heavy lens to carry around to shoot with. I would have shot with the Pana 12-35mm…Was the quality was worth the extra weight? Just curious. :)

Thanks! Its definitely a much nicer lens then the 12-35mm. but I also like shooting at f1.8 on the gh4 so thats a big reason for me. But yea the 12-35mm is a great travel lens!
