Thank You Cinema 5D. It’s Time to Move On.

Well you might as well get it here first. I will be leaving Cinema5D after NAB 2011. I have been working very hard to build up both C5D and Wide Open Camera for the past year and now it’s time to focus my energy entirely on Wide Open Camera. I have assembled a very talented team of young filmmakers to contribute and make films under the Wide Open Camera Brand and will continue to push the limits of filmmaking there. I will keep shooting Quick Take Videos on new products that come to light. It is one of the few things I can do myself; I love the prospect of new equipment. Not because it will make me a better filmmaker, but because it will further my knowledge of the tools available for the craft of filmmaking. Making films has always been a collaborative effort for me. I started as a camera assistant. A member of a well oiled machine. I continue to keep this in mind as Wide Open Camera evolves into a full-fledged production and design company. We have a few new productions in the works and innovative products in the pipeline and will continue to push the boundaries of both filmmaking and design as we move forward. Thank you for supporting us, we promise to take you along for the ride.
