Redrock Micro Unveils ultraCage | Blue If you were paying attention during the Canon EOS announcements, you might have noticed there was more than just new cameras. There was new gear as well from Redrock Micro. There’s been a lot of new camera support gear of late, but it was Redrock that brought their ultraCage to the party. Boasting that it’s the first cage designed specifically for the just-announced Canon EOS C300, the ultraCage has all the needed pieces for accommodating any rig no matter what accessories you use. Not having seen the rig, I can say it appears to be a great compliment to not only the C300 but also your current DSLR. It’s been reported that Redrock Micro was selected by Canon ti be available for the production teams making videos for the C300 release. You can clearly see these rigs in the BTS video and stills. Redrock Micro’s James Hurd had this to about their new line of rigs: “When Canon approached us to create a cage that would ‘finish’ the C300 into a supremely functional production camera, we wanted to do something more than just create a square cage. We felt it was important to mirror C300’s compactness and beautiful lines without increasing the camera’s footprint. Customers want to retain the camera’s feel and ergonomics, and add the support, security, and features of the ultraCage.” For more information about Redrock Micro’s ultraCage | Blue, go to their website at: store.redrockmicro.comRead more
