Omnivision OV14810 Sensor Omnivision has announced the “OV14810â€, a new 14 MP sensor capable of delivering 1080p @ 60fps. The new sensor uses “OmniBSIâ€, or backside illumination. Intended for HD DSLR’s and mobile phones, the new sensor also provides additional pixels for IS systems. “The 1/2.33- inch OV14810 has an active array of 4,416 x 3,312 backside illumination pixels operating at 15 fps in full resolution, or delivering full 1080p HD video at 60 fps, using a binning feature to achieve higher sensitivity.†Yee Haw, this is going to make a lot of sports fans happy. Shooting sixty frames in 1080p HD is going to be tons of fun!
