Canon is throwing another event into October. After scheduling the hollywod event for Nov. 3rd, the EOS/Pixma event for Oct. 26th and the Canon Pro Solutions Expo for October 25th, they’ve now added another event scheduled for next week in the Netherlands. The third week of October has previously been rumored as an announcement time for the Canon 1D Mark V or 1Ds Mark IV. Unfortunately it has also been rumored to come without video functionality? Rumored specs for the Canon pro camera are as follows: One model which is integrates the 1D and 1Ds 18 million pixel full-size sensor 61 focus points. 14 fps (12 fps with AF) New battery, but it will also be able to use older ones 150-200 grams heavier than the current model ISO range: 100-51200 Fixed LCD monitor Street price of about 600,000 yen body only New 24-70mm lens with a price of about 200,000 yen October 18 announcement, scheduled to be released mid-March of next year via canonrumors and photographybay
