Here is a Quick Take Video on the Ikan F3 Follow Focus. It is a friction based follow focus and does not require a lens gear. The rubber focus wheel goes directly onto the focus barrel of the lens. It is not the most traditional follow focus out there, but looks like it will help keep things in focus. The Ikan F3 is around $200 US. Click here to check it out.Read more

Brian Valente of Red Rock Micro announced a $500 wireless follow focus at Createasphere 2010. There were over one thousand attendees this time around. There will be a few more interviews to follow this weekend from Zeiss, Marshall, Canon, and More. Â Still no info from Canon pertaining to the firmware update for the 5D Mark II.Read more

This contraption works more like a zoom stick than a follow focus, but anything that gets you away from the lens, reduces shift and increases stability. AndrÃ© Desrochers is the inventor and deserves all the credit for this little DIY invention.Read more
