I only had a few minutes to shoot this Quick Take on the new Cineroid EVF. It has HDMI Pass-Through, a Peaking focus assist feature, a Flip feature and Black and White. I believe Monochrome and Peaking are both quick buttons on the side of the LCD. There are also two Function preset buttons. The EVF runs on rechargeable batteries and will come with a hot shoe mount of some kind. The viewfinder is hinged at the top and flips up to get out of the way. The eyepiece can also be removed completely if necessary. No real image squeeze with the Canon 5D Mark II while recording. The image does scale down a little in record mode. The resolution was quite good on the LCD. It will also work as a small external monitor. It also has a small speaker and headphone jack to monitor sound. No mention of exact pricing yet. It does come with a nifty little carrying case.Read more
