I got to play with the new Canon 70-200mm IS T2.8 L II for about ten minutes yesterday for a test with Hunter Kerhart. This is most defiantly an upgrade from the previous model. There is a noticeable difference when you first hold the lens; the edges of the rubber rings are smoother and less prone to damage. Both the zoom and focus barrel seem tighter and more responsive and the image stabilization is noticeably quieter than the older model. Overall it just felt better than my old 70-200, kind of like a pair of jeans that just fit more comfortably.Read more
