On Directing an Apple Commercial – Vincent Laforet – ON THE GO – episode 47

Ever wondered how it is to direct an Apple commercial, the super-perfect shiny world of Apple products? Find out by watching director Vincent Laforet talking about his experience – and giving tips on how to get where he is now.

Vincent Laforet and Nino Leitner “On the Go” for cinema5D.

In this episode of ON THE GO, Vincent Laforet tells us how it was to direct the Apple commercial for the iPad Pro. He points out that Apple can literally get any creative they want – and they are aware of that of course. He was more than happy to take that challenge, because they not only work with the best, they demand the best.

We talk about how important it is to find your style and get to a point where you don’t have to say “yes” to every paycheck – and how hard it is to get there. It’s about getting to a point where you have a chance to do more of the things you enjoy doing most, even if that means taking a job with less pay. Ultimately, it will make you more successful because the better results will show in your work.

I love how he talked about moving from Director to Producing…as well as not being able to post works because of confidential agreements. I so love, how he brought this up, and expanded on it… – so cool :)
