The Australian audio equipment company RØDE does not need an introduction. Their microphones are very widely used and I think most filmmakers are familiar with some of their products. This year during NAB, RØDE announced the Wireless GO – a very compact wireless audio transmitter & receiver set. For more information about the RØDE Wireless GO, please check our announcement article and our NAB video interview with RØDE. Today, RØDE launches the new Lavalier GO – a lavalier microphone to accompany their tiny wireless set. What are its features?

RØDE Lavalier GO

The Lavalier GO is a broadcast-grade lavalier microphone with a 3.5mm TRS jack connector. TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) means that the connector has three conductors. It contains a high-quality 4.5mm omnidirectional condenser capsule and a durable, hard-wearing kevlar reinforced cable.

It is optimised for use with the RØDE Wireless GO, but will work with any device with a 3.5mm TRS mic input, which supplies plug-in power. It is even compatible with smartphones and other devices with TRRS inputs, using the RØDE SC4 adapter.
