PrimeCircle releases the 15mm f/2,8 lens

We’ve been reporting about LockCircle’s “Prime Circle” cine EF lenses at NAB 2012 (LINK) and the new and innovative sliding Mattebox that was recently released.

They extend their range of rehoused Zeiss lenses to make them film-compatible with the 15mm f2.8 lens, a high performance extreme wide angle lens that was released earlier this year with some stunning specs (LINK).

The PrimeCircleXT 15mm f2.8 is available at LockCircle’s website and goes for a whopping $3580 (the original lens is $2950 (LINK)) and will be delivered in 4 weeks.

LockCircle at IBC Amsterdam (7-11 September) will present the new PrimeCircle XT 15mm f2,8 built around the ZF.2 world class optics.

The new focal length will expand the PrimeCircle XT Custom Lens series with a masterpiece super wideangle with an extra-large angle of view of 110 degrees in combination with a fast f/2,8 aperture, the lens enables the features for dramatic perspectives and performance demanded by the most ambitious shooters!

The PrimeCircle XT 15mm incorporates two aspheric lenses combined and special glass material with abnormal partial dispersion to provide an extraordinary correction of chromatic aberration. A floating elements design guarantees high image quality all other the focus range!

The 15mm provides a broad field of coverage and is perfect for use in confined spaces or to provide dramatic point of views. The Canon 5D and Nikon D800/ D4 users can benefit of the Full-Frame (24 x 36) coverage and the special engineered double front mount

(95mm and 114mm) offers the choice to use film-style standard accessories, matte-boxes and filters.

The exclusive X-Circle EF Mount (pat.pend.) shows the focus and aperture scales on the side (Side Index View) for a comfortable focus-puller work.

Available in EF Mount and F-Mount (interchangeable) with exclusive patent pending Cine-Lock EF Mount for a extra-locking lens mount for precise and professional follow-focus work.
