The Panasonic GF1 is a powerful little HD DSLR, with a very reasonable street price of $899 with a choice of either a pancake 20mm f1.7 prime or a 14-45mm f3.5-5.6 zoom lens. Shooting 720P @ 30 fps HD Video in AVCHD Lite codec.

The GF1 has lots of “features” to enhance movie shooting. One that stood out was “Peripheral Defocus Mode”. A foreground and background selectable focus tool. Another great feature of this camera is the ability to wear Leica glass.

On the downside, it is a four-thirds camera, and only shoots 720p. However if small turns you on, then this may be the camera for you.
