New Olympus micro four thirds lenses (also for GH2)
If you’ve been following the news about the Panasonic GH2 hack, you might be among the people who are thinking about a switch to Panasonic cameras. (Wow, this time is all about switching, switching software, switching cameras.)
Well if you’re a switcher, or if you’ve been using the GH1, GH2 or another micro four thirds camera you probably know that there’s not a huge number of lenses to choose from, so new lenses is good news.
The lenses we’re looking at are
a 12mm F/2.0 (about 24mm)
and a 45mm F/1.8 (about 90mm)
These new lenses fill in some of the gaps that have been missing in the lens lineups, and further reiterate that small mirrorless cameras are in demand. (Rumor is
that Canon already has one in the pipeline).
No, they’re not manual, they have a “near silent” autofocus and from the looks of them they don’t have a manual iris ring either. If you’re familiar with these lenses you’re welcome to share your knowledge in the comments!
