Hawk-Woods Sticky Batteries – Hands-On Video

With all the different cameras and camera accessories we use on set these days simultaneously, the need for versatile battery solutions is becoming more and more of a pressing issue. The problem with many though is that they are large and easily in your way at times … in comes Hawk-Woods’ Sticky battery, a little battery block available in 38Wh and 75Wh versions, both of which can be attached to cameras using M3 Dual Lock Strips. They have D-Tap build in.

These batteries are particularly designed for smaller cameras or drone and gimbal setups, where balancing can become an issue if the battery isn’t returned to exactly its same exact place every time. Hawk-Woods also offers a quick release plate that ensures that the position is absolutely the same. The ST-38W weighs 240 grams, the ST-75 weighs 465 grams. The batteries output 7 amps, which is enough to even satisfy notoriously power hungry cameras like the ARRI Alexa Mini.

No word about pricing or availability yet, but keep your eyes peeled on the Hawk-Woods website.

Nice try. But 465 grams for 75Wh is very much a 2014-2015 thing..

Please start editing the Audio, it’s really annoying to change the volume like 4 times during a video
