CamTrac – Fully Adaptable Camera Dolly System for Timelapse, Hyperlapse and Video Camera Moves

Dan Eckert from CamTrac wanted to design an all-purpose camera dolly and has turned to Kickstarter to make his invention available to the public. Introducing the Camtrac. Whether for Timelpase, Hyperlapse or regular video camera moves, this looks like a cool toy for filmmakers who want to go the extra mile and create stunning images.

The Camtrac will run on almost any surface or rails. The motorized dolly has adjustable and removable components and wheels, thus making it highly functional and suitable for most set-up situations. Whether you want to clamp a tripod, mono-pod or hi-hat to it, or let it grip to any railing you can find, the Camtrac is a promising tool for all filmmakers to get that shot you always wanted to get, but didn’t have the means to do so. The software is still in development to create accurate timelapses and hyperlapses, however it all seems to be on the right track.
