CAME-Single – A More Intelligent Lightweight 3 Axis Gimbal

September 15th, 2015 Jump to Comment Section 7

CAME-TV showed us the new CAME-Single, a lightweight 3 axis gimbal with intelligent motors for one-handed operation.

Compared to similar popular lightweight 3 axis gimbal stabilizers, the CAME-Single is actually one of the first commercially available “32bit basecam” controlled gimbals, which offers brushless motors with so called “encoder” technology.

According to CAME-TV this new type of gimbal design “prevents motors from losing synchronization and skipping steps, provides important information about frame and camera angles, decreases power consumption (longer battery life), increases Torque, increases precision of stabilization, and more.”

The CAME-Single is completely tool-less adjustable. It features a joy-stick, which controls the camera movement. The Gimbal has 3 different modes:

  • Follow Mode, which is always on.
  • Follow Mode is off in the pitch axis, but on in the yaw axis
  • Both pitch and yaw axis are off – the camera stays in the same place.

The batteries are embedded in the handgrip of the gimbal and last up to 20 hours, but cannot be replaced.

The CAME-Single 3-Axis Gimbal is available now and costs $988.
