200 Veydra Lenses Stolen from Company HQ

Veydra Optics have reported that much of their Mini Prime inventory was stolen last night from their California-based headquarters. The company is known as a manufacturer of a variety of high-quality cinema glass for C-Mount, E-Mount and Micro 4/3 bodies.

The company announced through their Facebook account that 200 Veydra Mini Prime Lenses had been taken during the break-in, and released the following statement:

“Veydra lenses will be available again but it may take some time to fill orders so we appreciate everyone’s help and patience while we recover from this significant loss.
Thanks for your help in keeping our dream alive.”

Veydra is offering a reward for any information leading to to the return of the Veydra Prime lenses to their inventory. If you see any strangely low pricing on Veydra Mini primes from any third parties, you are encouraged to reach out to the company here: [email protected]

This is the latest of several high-profile camera inventory-related crimes. In late 2014, camera manufacturer Blackmagic Design experienced a theft of over $1.4 million in equipment, and in the middle of 2015 LensProToGo lost $500K worth of gear to thieves.

We have reached out to Veydra for more information on how to identify their stolen inventory in the field.
