Live streaming with 7D

Thought some of you will be interested in setting up 7D for live streaming
My friend and I managed to do do live video streaming with 7D. We are doing a lot of live video projects, and I just got the amazing 7D, so we played around with it. We wondered how can we use it for live events, and then my friend, Guy Nesher, came up with this geeky-but-working solution:
1. Connect your computer to 7D
2. open the camera control software
3. Operate live view mode
4. open camtwist (for Mac, a cool screen grab app)
5. Go to livestream.com, open a channel, and chose camtwist as your video source.
Yes, I know, it is not as simple as doing it with cameras that are meant for this. but still it is cool

Sounds neat, but I don't see where I can add my 7D as a "webcam" source in CamTwist, I just see my regular webcam.

You should use the Desktop+ option, and capture the liveview portion of your screen with camtwist. This way camtwist is the source for the streaming service

I tried that, but the framerate on the remote live-view function has a really low frame rate, something like 5fps or less in my case.
