New (24p) Firmware release date clue?

I'm hoping this means the firmware update is coming very soon!
The San Francisco Supermeet on Friday February 5th is raffling off a 5d Mark ii with what it calls the:
"2010 FIRMWARE UPDATE (1080 24p, 25fps/29.97, 720/60P)"

Perhaps this is wishful thinking and some clever/deceptive marketing but maybe this means we'll be getting the firmware update sometime around then
But then who knows I guess, just thought it was strange that they mentioned the new firmware in their ad so I wanted to share it.

I just sent an email to the webmaster in order to know where he did get that firmware or when is it going to be available! I'm waiting for an answer and will let you know asap

I also send a facebook message to Daniel Berube who seems to be the head of this super meet. Let's hope the firmware comes out around this time.

I saw at the Supermeet they will be giving away the 5D Mark II with the new 2010 Firmware update! Is this true? Will we be seeing the firmware release sometime soon?

daniel: Yes.

I sent him another msg asking clearly if we'll have the firmware released concurrently with the supermeet raffle.

will be good to know, as im heading off for a shoot in early february.

Hmm maybe Canon told him to keep it cool and not spread the word or something.

Daniel has a connection to Canon (he does some demos and testing I think) and he mentioned the last firmware update about a week before it came out at a meeting of the Boston Final Cut Pro Group, so I'm thinking his information is likely to be good.

I called Canon here in Sweden and its kinda funny.. The guy i was talking too knew nothing about any new firmware so I had to explain it to him that Canon had made an official announcement etc..
