REALLY nice looking new rigs on Ebay from guy in Korea

Postby Jackson Miller on 26 Oct 2009 22:26

I have been away for a month or so but I searched and found no mention of this. There is this guy on ebay who sells cnc machined rigs. His english is horrible and there are many different setups so it is confusing, but overall it looks like it could be a great deal, especially if you just wanted to buy a setup to use for parts since it has a lot of those 90 degree locking connectors that Z and redrock sell and it also has offset parts etc. As far as the rig itself, I really wanna know how it is or which one works best. My only concerns are: the handles (they are 15mm rails), the shoulder mount (made out of metal), and the quality. The quality does look great though and if those other two things bug you, you could replace the handles and shoulder mount or something.

Scroll down and take a look at all of that stuff.

So who is gonna buy one and let us know how it is?

Wow, it's got overwhelmingly positive reviews on dvxuser:

apparently you should definitely bid and not buy now because you will almost definitely get it for a third or a half of the price. Also, the screws on the rails fit zacuto rails (don't take my word for it though).

Like I said, sorry if this has been posted already.

EDIT: This guy configured his to be very similar to the zacuto gunstock mounts:

He accepted offers of $200 US from some of the dvxusers. I've put in a best offer for $250 which was the lowest not instantly rejected. If accepted it's still a good price from what I've heard.

I'm planning on using bicycle hand grips and a piece of dense foam rubber on the shoulder pad with some velcro hand weights attached.

I just discovered this myself and I'll post when I have pics to post with a quick notes of my impressions. But for the price, its beats the big shots out there right now. I think I even could have gotten it cheaper but still ok with it.
I recommend checking it out if your looking for alternatives like myself.
I was already planning on making my own kit, but now, I'll just make little connectors handles to go with this kit.

Cheers,
Dave

The basic right angle rod with connectors looks a lot like my production project as well.

The color this guy has chosen and the style of the connectors looks exactly like the Zacuto gear...

My best offer of $250 has been accepted. I'll post a review when I've had a chance to play with it.
