100 $ Follow Focus

Humm... I was about to press the buy button when I took a look at the video and the quality of the focussing does not impress me. If I was him, I would have done maybe 20 test shots and picked the 5 best. If that is what he did, there is a serious issue with this FF since it does not seem smooth or precise on a few of the shots... Lets just hope this product is great and he was just not too careful when he did the test shots!

Anyone care to buy one and test it for the rest of us? I would if it wasnt for the stupid custom I would have to pay :-S

I agree, there needs to be a better video posted. If they sold a wip for it, I would be sold.

it works but it doesn't look like its stiff enough for hand-held. this is more for tripod use.

I ordered one. As soon as I get it (and focus gears) I will post a review on my blog. My problem right now is to find the gears. Redrock web site doesnt allow shipping to Canada (Province is mandatory but there are no canadian provinces in the drop down), Zacutoo is too expensive and I have a bad feeling regarding the ones from India....

Vistek.ca has a lot of Redrock products. Don't see the gears there sold separately though.

Thx for the info Jess but a bit too late. I really hoped to get my stuff for next weekend so I ordered from India.

I will have a full review of the whole rig on my blog next week (if I get everything on time).

BTW, the RRM site wasnt bugged, it was the auto complete of safari that messed it up. I chose to not get the RRM gears because of their shipping cost. For even cheaper, I am getting 6 gears of various sizes (probably 2 of these are going to be useless) from DVCity...
