Sure thing. I wrote about it a long time ago. People here probably thought I was nuts ... I am the only one using this kind of rig

Would be fun to hear what you think if you go this way.
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3073I removed two of the ball links between the magnifying glass and the attachment so that it would be shorter and more steady. The magnifying glass attachment just snaps to the handle. The handle can be turned sideways if I on a moments notice wants to shoot stills through the normal viewfinder. The screen shield is soft and don't make much resistance when I press my face to the camera.

I have put a small screen shield on the camera for outdoor use. Made it from a mouse mat and sewed Velcro on it. Of course it's not as good as a viewfinder that you attach directly to the camera in bright sunlight. But I find that it works very well for me. I also help with the aiming when using large tele lenses. And in this soccer game it was easy to get an overview of the game and follow the ball with just a minor adjustment of the eye angle: focus at the screen, look up and follow the game while moving the camera, see If a guy runs prior to getting the ball etc etc. You get the point.
The Hama arm I use are made for mounting a flash. It was easy to de-assemble it and reverse the handle so that it pointed downwards.
And if I really wanted to black out the sunlight I use a black cloth over my head and the camera.
The only really downside in using a magnifying glass and being in the sunlight is ... well.

Twice I thought that I'd been stung by a hornet or something. That magnifying glass packs a heavy sun beam focus point and gave me burn marks!
