Edelkrone. The Swiss Army Knife Of Shoulder Rigs.
By: Jared Abrams
I picked this up over at Planet 5D. This looks like one kick ass rig. If it actually works. There is not a lot of info on the edelkrone web site. The only thing they have is this video at the moment. I suspect that we will run into them at NAB 2011. Stay tuned for more cool gear.
New RnG S2 HDSLR Rig From Half Inch Rails.
By: Jared Abrams
Sam Morgan Moore has announced a new rig from Half Inch Rails. This scaled down version of his original version is a component-based system that can easily be upgraded as the user sees fit. Sam is a shooter himself and continues to improve upon his original design. The new RnG S2 uses industry standard 15mm rods and has a central mounting bracket that is symmetrical and can be used upside down without effecting the rod location. This video shows the pre anodized prototype. Estimated pricing will be around £400. Sam is quite responsive here on the forum. Hit him up with any questions or suggests you may have. Name That Jag35 Contest. Win A HDSLR Shoulder Rig.
The Crew over at JAG35 are giving away a shoulder rig to the person who picks the winning name. They have built a sub $300 shoulder rig. It is about time that a company has come up with a cost effective rig. The demo model I saw recently sold right away to a person at the show. It is a very basic rig that needs a killer name. Make your way over to the JAG35 site and help them with a name for this rig. Click Here To Go To JAG35.
