Createasphere Expo November 3rd and 4th, 2010.

By: Jared Abrams

The Createasphere Expo used to be called HD Expo. They put together this little video to clear up any confusion on the topic. I will be there the first day speaking at the HDSLR Meet Up. There will be tons of vendors (typically discounted expo pricing on gear as well) and a few seminars. It is also a great opportunity to network with like minded film makers. Here is a little rip from the Createasphere website. The meet is at 10:30am November 3rd. It would be great to see some C5D viewers there.

“The Createasphere Entertainment Technology Expo in Burbank is where future technology and creative vision converge. Featuring educational sessions and interactive panels, the Expo brings together media experts and technical innovators for two days of lively discussion and knowledge-sharing that will help shape the future of the industry. A show floor with hundreds of exhibitors brings the technology to life with hands-on access to explore the latest innovations.”

Createasphere EOS Moving Image Workshop San Francisco.

By: Jared Abrams

I have been teaching the Createasphere EOS Moving Image Workshop with Nancy Schreiber, ASC this summer and it has been a great experience. It has been a great opportunity to meet so many enthusiastic people that are becoming a part of the HDSLR community. I have learned so much myself, just by being a part of the process. Canon is supplying the cameras and lenses.  Every student gets to shoot, edit and play with some of the best gear available for HDSLR work.  The next round of workshops will be held in San Francisco August 13th-15th. Use the discount code: SFCreate10 to get $300 off the cost of the workshop.

Createasphere and Canon present “EOS Moving Image Workshop-Beyond the Still” This intensive hands on workshop will be held around the United States this summer. The first of four countrywide workshops kicks off here in Los Angeles, May 22-24, 2010. Nancy Schreiber, ASC and myself will be teaching the classes. Shane Hurlbut, ASC will be presenting as well. I have been working for the last few weeks with Createasphere to make this class truly Hands-On. Canon will be supplying us with cameras and every L series glass they have. This will be a very intense three days. We will cover everything there is to know to date about HDSLR’s. The class is aimed at professional shooters both still and video. The class is not cheap but I have asked Createasphere for a little break for C5D viewers. Use the code LAMAY10 to get $400 off the price.
