Cinevate Kicks Back Cash To Customers
Canadian Manufacturer Offers Incentives Through November

Cinevate manufacturers a wide range of HDSLR support products including rail systems, follow focuses, viewfinders and sliders. If you’ve ever got your hands on any of their gear, you’ll note the high level of precision, elegance and quality when it comes to the design, build and performance.
This level of quality doesn’t come cheap, and if you’ve lusted after any of their sleek, black products but cost was a barrier, then there isn’t a better time to get a Cinevate product than right now. Cinevate’s Fall rebates include a variety of products, but the Simplis Ultimate seems to offer the most bang for the buck.
Simplis Ultimate: $1749.98 - $150.00 Rebate
The Simplis Ultimate is Cinevate’s premiere shoulder-mounted solution allowing you to have a fully functional rig without comprimising mobility. It also represents the very best of the Cinevate line giving you not only a shoulder mount, but it also comes with the following stand alone products and features: Simplis Quick Release Plate, 2 Articulating ¼-20 Hand Grips, Shoulder Mount and Pad, Counter Balance Weights, 15mm Rail Assembly with 2 Carbon Fiber rails and the Cyclops DSLR Viewfinder.
New Cinevate Simplis Gun Stock Rig For Under $400.
By: Jared Abrams
Cinevate has announced a new gun stock style rig for just under $400. I have to commend them on this very cool stop motion concept. It’s refreshing to see a company with a little sense of humor about their products. Here is a rip from their website.
“The Proteus Simplis DSLR Rig is the solution for anyone needing a lightweight, “run and gun” support rig. Incorporating a revolutionary system that allows a filmmaker the unique ability to customize and scale their rig as desired, Simplis is ideal for any filmmaker seeking a versatile, modular and upgradeable DSLR Support System.”
Simplis Solo – DSLR Rig includes:
▪Simplis Quick Release Plate
▪Articulating ¼-20 Hand Grip
▪Shoulder Stock
▪3 lengths of Shoulder Stock Rods
DSLR Rig Comparison Chart.
By: Jared Abrams
Frank Glencairn brought this nifty little chart to my attention. DSLR Rig Comparison is a breakdown of seven manufactures hand held rigs. The companies include Handy Film Tools, CPM Film Tools, Zacuto, Redrock Micro, Cinevate, Indisystem and Vocas. It looks like in this comparison the Redrock Micro Field Cinema Deluxe system was declared the winner. The chart is packed with tons of information. It might be worth a look if you are tyring to decide which rig to buy.
Cinevate Pegasus Carbon Dolly System.

By: Jared Abrams
The Cinevate Pegasus Cabon system looks to be like a very useful slider style dolly. I have yet to embrace the slider system and still use full size track dollies myself, but sliders take up very little space and can easily add motion to any shot. The Pegasus seems to have some cool features. The Pegasus Carbon Dolly retails for $895. Here is a rip from the Cinevate website.
“The Pegasus Carbon based Linear Tracking system is a truly revolutionary camera slider system. Designed for loads under 15lbs, the parts can be re-tasked as a super compact table dolly, overhead tracking system, cable system, and the conventional linear sliding system.
The new “All Terrain” legs give you extra height to deal with uneven ground. The over-molded, non-skid, ball feet are designed to withstand rough ground while being gentle enough not to damage delicate surfaces. With this system you can sit the unit anywhere.”
