In this last video from IBC 2012 we’re posting Clayton Burkhart has a conversation with Peter Yabsley from Canon about the new Canon EOS C100.

The Canon EOS C100 was definitely one of the most interesting cameras of IBC 2012. Peter Yabsley gave us the details in this interview and elaborates why there is such a big price difference between the C line cameras and how the different models are really for different target groups.

Let’s see if what Sony comes out with tomorrow will be able to compete with Canon’s C line of cameras.

This is the last chance to participate in our IBC 2012 twitter contest as we’ll pick the winner tomorrow.

The Canon EOS C100 is expected on November 30th and will cost $6499.

The famous most affordable Sachtler tripod gets a bigger brother.

What is this, a second Sachtler Ace?
Indeed, this is an upgrade version for those who like the affordability of the first Sachtler Ace, but require some more features.

Basically the advantages of the Ace L over the normal Ace (Ace M) are the following:

IBC 2012 – Affordable motorized sliders are coming

Here we have new motorized sliders by two different companies.

The Varavon slider costs is very affordable and can also upgrade existing Varavon sliders. The Lanparte slider goes faster and can memorize motion, but is also more expensive.

Varavon has made some good products. I’m sure this slider is worth checking out if you’re looking for motion at an affordable price.

The Varavon slidecam sliders will be available here sooner or later, in the meantime you can check the
Varavon website.
The dedicated motorized slider will be $1100 and the normal kit version (base slider with upgrade kit) $980.
Varavon told me there are different motors for different speeds.

Lanparte is a brand I am not very familiar with, but their slider looked very interesting. As they had a German representative it was also culturally easier to get a conversation about their products started.
It is hard to beat the Varavon pricetag, but the Lanparte slider had some unique features like the memory, the fast motion and the timelapse functionality. Also it seemed robust.

So what are these Litepanels Sola lights you wonder? Me too, so I had Ali from Litepanels explain that to us at IBC.

This looks like a nice light kit considering that according to the manufacturer these daylight lamps offer an output comparable to a 100W HMI.

The Sola lamps are 30W LED lights in a fresnel-like single light enclosure, much like the Arri L7-C we saw yesterday (LINK).

The Sola ENG kit has the following in it:
- Sola ENG x3
- Gel Kit (Set of 3) x3
- Ball Head Shoe Mounts x3
- Shoe Mount Conversion Kits x3
- Barndoors x3, AC/DC Power Supply x3
- AC/DC Power Cord x3, TVMP Mount x3
- D-Tap Cables x3, Nano Stands x3
- Pelican 1510 Case with Custom Foam
- Lastolite Fold up Soft Box, Diffuser

The Sola ENG kit is currently $2695:
