Here’s another video with Arri at Philip Vischers corner who presented their new camera support lineup to us. As I’ve mentioned numerous times Arri gear really stands out and in this regard I also found their new designs very ergonomic and pleasing.
You can get the Arri support gear at the Arri Pro Camera Accessories website: LINK
Oh and here’s the C300 handgrip adapter they also brought out recently in case you didn’t know. Like!

It’s crazy time with all the new camera buzz. While no budget filmmakers leave empty handed these days with no new solutions for them, the professionals have a s…load of stuff coming their way.
We reported about the blue Redrock Cage for the C300 this week. And here is a video by Phil Vischer with new neatly simple superrobust Arri gear right from the Canon announcement at the LA Paramount Studios .
Of course Zacuto has counterpart quality accessories from the other part of the world too. Here’s their nice studio video that also gives you a nice look at the fancy Canon C300 camera

IBC 2011: 16×9 Inc. CINE BASE – ultra high quality support system
In film every minute lost costs money and nerves. That’s why professionals tend to use high quality equipment.
This support system is not very affordable for the normal user, but for its quality and functionality it’s a very good deal for professional video and when you’re dealing with frontheavy cameras.
The build quality and versatility of this support system is outstanding. Screws, materials, sliding, everything is smoooth.
The 16×9 Inc Cine Base M15 is currently available for the Sony FS100, Sony F3 and Panasonic AF100. You can upgrade the support system to go with each model by buying the additionally available baseplates. The kit for each camera is currently $1045:
Check out the 16×9 Inc. PL mount which we reported about at NAB 2011.

IBC 2011: New camera accessories by ARRI – ff, mb & shoulderpad

Philip Vischer, product manager of Arri showed us some new accessories they have for smaller cameras like HDSLRs or other large sensor babies like the FS100.
The MFF-1 follow focus is a great device that has it all, the new MFF-2 will combines the features of other great follow focus solutions by making the knob exchangeable. The third knob Philip shows allows for different gear translation thus resulting in a better speed for photo lenses.
The MMB-2 is a lightweight mattebox that also allows you to attach handles on the sides. This is particularly useful when there’s no space left on the rails, notice that the handles are a little short and might not fit everybody’s handheld style.
Arri now also has a shoulder pad, the SP-1 which can transform into a cheeseplate and they also have new, specialized baseplate mounting adapters for the FS100 and ikonoskop d2 cameras.
See the press release here.
