New & capable full frame HDSLR by Canon: The EOS 6D
Canon just introduced a new full frame DSLR camera. It comes at almost half the price of the 5D mark III and offers very similar HD recording features. So it comes with the usual HDSLR bling bling like manual audio, 25p, 30p and so on, the Canon rep on the phone said that movie recording is “same like on the 5D mark III“.
The press release also talks about the HD recording side of the camera which makes it look like a pretty capable HDSLR.

Only today: Canon EOS 7D -$200 at B&H
B&H offers a very interesting deal on the Canon EOS 7D body that expires today.
Regardless of the meaning of this huge sale here’s a chance to get a new 7D at a very affordable price.
Why this deal is interesting even though the new & cheaper EOS T4i/650D (Review here: LINK) offers some better features and the identical feature:
Because Canon announced a significant firmware update for the 7D that will bring manual audio during recording. Scheduled for August: LINK
And because Mosaic Engineering released their anti aliasing filter that impressed us and shows that the 7D still has balls. Review here: LINK

Canon EOS Rebel T4i / 650D coming?
There’s a clear need for a more affordable 5D mark III generation Canon HDSLR. At NAB a Canon rep said they’re working on it.
Last month we heard rumors about the Canon 7D mark II & Canon 70D.
Here’s a new rumor with a picture of Canon’s next low end APS-C DSLR camera: The Canon EOS T4i, also referred to as 650D.
People have shot great things on the T2i & T3i. Come on Canon, hurry up with that new camera.

Rumor: Canon EOS 70D & EOS 7D mark II on the way?

The first rumors about the next HDSLR cameras in line on Canon’s DSLR roadmap are coming in.
With Canon’s introduction of the 5D mark III 2 months ago some filmmakers are eager to see a more affordable version of the new generation of Canon’s HDSLRs.
For others the APS-C sized sensor which comes very close to the 35mm film format is an argument against the 5D mark III.
Unfortunately there are no dates mentioned for the release of these cameras yet but rumored specs lists are a good start. Published by canonrumors:
