Colorist Rob Bessette of Finish Post presents an overview on the art of color correction with a step-by-step look at the finer points of Black Magic Design’s DaVinci Resolve
… which in case you didn’t know comes free with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera or as a light version with some limitations.

If you’re waiting for your Blackmagic Cinema Camera order which is expected to start shipping on July 30th and you haven’t had a chance to look at DaVinci resolve yet I can tell you this is a really cool program that has a lot of power and influence on the outcome of your project.
Good color-correction becomes even more relevant with a RAW capable camera such as the Blackmagic. And even if you’re an experienced colorist Rob’s very informative talk might fill in some gaps.
