Panolapse – Adding motion to static timelapses
Our friends over at Planet5D published an interesting article a few days ago. Panolapse, a handy bit of software that adds motion to static timelapses.
The promo video below clearly demonstrates how it works.
A quote from the website. “The concept of Panolapse is similar to 360° panorama viewers. Panolapse uses perspective correction to rotate the camera through a scene over multiple frames to create an animation.”

Apple updates Final Cut Pro X & tries to win back the pros
In a new marketing effort Apple promotes Final Cut Pro X‘s strengths to win back professionals.
When Apple released their completely reworked editing software Final Cut Pro X in 2011 many users and lots of professionals were upset as the previous Version 7 was abandoned.
You might remember that Final Cut Pro X was often referred to as “iMovie Pro” because it lacked many features required by professionals and offers a more automated approach to editing. Some have switched to a different editing system, others are still using Final Cut Pro 7, but many have remained skeptical.

The Music Bed iOS app – convenient listening to songs you can license
(This is not an April fools post. Look out for these today…)
Music licensing website The Music Bed has just released an iOS app (for iPhone and iPad) that allows for convenient on the go listening to their music database. If you like to listen to music on the go it might as well be songs you can actually use for your videos/slideshows.
A very nice idea to make an app and they’re having 30 days of giveaways for filmmakers.
